Jim Wells County Sheriff's deputies recovered stolen property at a local pawn shop after a two month investigation.

On Nov. 12 deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Medical Center Boulevard in reference to a burglary.

Deputies met with the victim who stated she had recently noticed items missing from the inside of her home and the outside shed such as laptops, weed eaters, a saddle, blowers and other lawn equipment.

The victim told the deputies she had a family friend stay with her for a few months. During this time period, the family friend's husband, 37-year-old Daniel Trevino, would come in and out of the property.

Trevino was arrested by deputies in November on burglary of a building.

Through the course of the investigation deputies located several of the stolen items at a local pawn shop. However, due to procedures at the pawn shops the items were recently returned to the victim.

According to officials, the investigation is ongoing as other tools are still missing.
