Boaters urged to “Clean, Drain, & Dry” to stop the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species
AUSTIN - With Memorial Day and summertime quickly approaching, and Texans will be getting out on the water. Now more than ever, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) urges boaters and paddlers who enjoy water recreation this summer to do their part to fight back against aquatic invasive species that threaten Texas lakes.

Premont Elementary Field Day
PREMONT - Students at Premont Elementary participated in Tuesday and Wednesday’s Field Day Celebration. Students from pre-kinder through fifth grade ran races, had a potato sack race and an obstacle course. The event was at the Premont Cowboy Stadium.
2022 Mr. and Miss Vaquero
During the San Diego Vaqueros Athletic Awards Assembly on Thursday, May 12 to celebrate the athletes. As part of the assembly, coaches announced Jadon Rodriguez and Zalexis Perez as the 2022 Mr. Vaquero and Miss Vaquero.
Alice HS’ Salas signs to play football at TAMUK
Alice High School senior Ryan Salas signed a commitment letter Tuesday, May 1o to play college football at Texas A&M University-Kingsville beginning this fall. Salas had an amazing senior season, earning accolades in football and basketball before advancing to the Region IV-4A track and field meet in the high jump.

Alice Independent School District will host three sports camps for students. Lil’ Yote Volleyball Clinic Dates: May 17-19 Ages/Grades: Third grade through eighth grade Times: third - fifth at 5 p.m., and sixth - eighth at 6:30 p.m.
2022 Alice Coyote Summer Track Program
Students ages four through 18 are invited to join the 2022 Alice Coyote Summer Track Program. The program is for three weeks starting May 31.
Saenz was selected to play in the Coastal Bend Coaches Association All-Star game
PREMONT - Premont Basketball Varsity player Deveon Saenz was selected to compete in the Coastal Bend Coaches Association All-Star game. The game will take place May 21 at 2 p.m. at Miller High School.
