Former NFL player Narond “Roc” Alexander was indicted June 30 for submitting fraudulent health reimbursement claims to a health plan for former NFL players. The case was led by Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) investigators and prosecutors working with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.

AUSTIN— As we enter the summer months, Texans are heading to Texas State Parks to enjoy time outdoors. Last year, 43 state parks reported 102 heat-related illnesses in humans and pets. Since January 1, 54 heat-related incidents have already been reported, compared to 34 reported by this time last year.
Alice High School freshmen, Liana Garcia was recently named into the 2022 All South Texas Track and Field Team in the Mid-Distance category. District Champion, Area Champion and finished 10th overall in Region IV-4A.
Courtesy of a sports grant, the Boys and Girls Club of Alice donated more than 250 pairs of Under Armour football cleats to Alice High School athletics. The Alice Independent School District Transportation team unloaded the shoes and took them to the athletic department
Emerico Perez IV was recently made the All-South Texas Swim, according to the Corpus Christi Caller Times. Emerico will be a senior at Alice High School this school year.
