Benito Garza Rosales

Benito Garza Rosales, 80, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born September 27, 1942 in Alice, Texas to Benito Garza Rosales, Sr and Eloisa Garza Rosales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Eloisa Rosales, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his sisters, Ramona Rosales Alvarado and her family; Lydia Rosales Salinas and her children Rachel (Arturo), Delia and Paula; and Cristina Rosales-Soliz (Ruben) and her family. Of special mention is his favorite niece Paula Jo Salinas- Sanchez (Danny) and her children. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude in the chapel. Frank James Wall

Frank James Wall, age 67, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, October 22, 2022. He fought a long battle with lung cancer with strength and unending courage. He was born February 13, 1955 in Pearsall, Texas to Franklin Wall, Jr and Patsy Ruth Gray. He graduated from Alice High School in 1973 where he played football. After graduation he began his lifelong work in the oil field, starting as a roughneck and working his way up to vice president of Ponder Fishing Tools. He continued to share his hands-on knowledge with colleagues as a Fishing Tools Supervisor at Energy Fishing

Santos Jesus Castillo Sr. “Chuy” passed away October 4, 2022 in Alice, Texas. He was born November 21, 1948 in Mexico to Francisco Castillo and Ignacia Mendez. Chuy enjoyed welding, making barbecue pits, watching boxing, and doing mechanic work which he ran his own mechanic shop for years. Eduardo Salinas Sr.

Eduardo Salinas Sr., 63, years of age passed away on October 17, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born June 10, 1959, in Alice, Texas to Inez and Eduarda Tanguma Salinas. Eduardo worked oilfield for many years until lastly, he was doing Fire extinguisher inspections. He will be missed by his family but will be remembered eternally as a great dad and a provider for always making sure they didn’t do without. Javier “Javy” Jesus Casas

Javier “Javy” Jesus Casas, 46 years of age, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2022. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 3, 1976 to his parents, Rudy and Ann Casas. He was a graduate of Freer High School class of 1994 and a graduate of Texas A & M University Kingsville, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Natural Gas Engineering. Javy was formerly employed with his father and brother, Rene at Freer Iron Works and was presently co-owner of STX Process Equipment, Ace Hardware of Zapata and Lonesome Creek RV Resort. He and his wife Lori are also in the process of opening the newest Ace Hardware store in Laredo, TX. Javy was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle who was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed by all his family. He was an avid Aggie fan, and he had a love for spending time at his family ranch with his sons and family. Javy was very active with his sons and attended all their sports activities. John Robert Keys, loving brother, father and husband, passed away at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. Leopoldo “Polo” Canales Jr.

Leopoldo “Polo” Canales Jr., 77 years of age, was called home on Monday, October 17, 2022 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in San Diego, Texas on January 16, 1945 to his parents, Leopoldo and Dora Canales. Polo attended San Diego High School and was formerly employed as a bus driver for San Diego ISD. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports especially football and baseball and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Dora Canales; a brother, Luis Canales. Polo is survived by two sons, Luis Rene (Charlotte) Canales of Portland, Texas; Reymundo (Anita) Canales of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Linda Lee Canales (Rudy) Zapata and Adelina Canales both of San Diego, Texas; three sisters, Clara Solis, Adelina Gallegos and Linda Rosa Canales all of San Diego, Texas; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Talissa Marie Garcia, age 29, entered this world on January 27, 1993 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born to Noemi Gonzalez and Olivero Garcia Jr. Talissa was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and granddaughter. Talissa was called to her eternal resting place October 8, 2022 at her grandmother’s home in Palito Blanco, Texas. Talissa attended Palito Blanco Elementary and graduated from Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco High School in 2012. She received many awards and her diploma. After graduating, she was employed with Whataburger in Alice and Goodwill in Corpus Christi, Texas. Talissa enjoyed collecting Ninja Turtle action figures and memorabilia, especially Raphael Ninja Turtle. She also liked collecting Hello Kitty. She loved dancing and exercising to Michael Jackson.
