State sales tax revenue totaled $3.4 billion in March
On Monday, April 4, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.37 billion in March, 28.5 percent more than in March 2021; however, after adjusting last year’s March totals to account for February sales tax returns not collected until March 2021 due to Winter Storm Uri, March 2022 sales tax revenue was up 37.2 percent over comparable collections last year.

Tractor Supply donates $50K to the Texas Department of Agriculture STAR fund
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced today that Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the U.S., has committed $50,000 to the State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund (STAR), which is available through the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide aid to farmers, ranchers, producers and agribusiness owners adversely impacted by natural disasters.
