South Texas responses to tragedy in Uvalde

School districts, cities and law enforcement are collaborating in South Texas to ease South Texas residents after the tragic events in Ulvade on Tuesday that left 19 children and two adults dead. “The Alice Police Department and the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Department extends their most heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of (Tuesday’s) tragedy and senseless act in Uvalde, Texas.

Police operation arrests man with stolen items hidden in infant carrier

Amado Sanchez Different law enforcement operations are being conducted around Alice to deter crime especially in parking lots. Recently, Alice police were stationed at a business parking lot on the 2700 block of East Main when they observed a man, later identified as 41-yearold Amado Sanchez, exit a vehicle with an infant carrier and enter the business.
