UTHealth Houston to teach latest lifesaving skills to community with new mobile simulation training unit

HOUSTON - A state-of-the-art mobile simulation training unit designed to enhance high-level adult and pediatric emergency medicine care is coming to UTHealth Houston. Thanks to a $500,000 donation from the Wyatt Ranches, the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston unveiled the UTHealth Houston Mobile Simulation Training Unit — a high-fidelity mobile unit equipped with state-of-the-art medical training equipment, lifelike manikins, and simulation technology — at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, June 7, in Webber Plaza, on the campus of McGovern Medical School.

Freer’s 2022 Fourth of July Royalty

FREER - Five of Freer’s youngest residents will be representing the town around the Coastal Bend as the Freer Fourth of July Royalty. On May 28, the 16th annual Fourth of July pageant was held at Norman Thomas Elementary. With their friends, family and community support the 16 contestants participated in several categories including talent, military and formal wear.
