CORPUS CHRISTI – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is hosting its annual School and University Partnership Conference of Education (SUPCE) on campus Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The conference is designed for all those involved with educator preparation, including current and future teachers, professors, school administrators, and community partners. SUPCE 2022 seeks to explore the myriad factors contributing to the evolution of teacher shortage, as well as identify ways that university and school partnerships can improve the preparation and development of the profession of teaching.
The Agua Dulce High School band competed Saturday at the Gregory Portland Tournament of Bands. The band earned a second place for 2A overall band.

Del Mar College’s Welding Applied Technology Program with the Industrial Technology Department is holding their first “Día De Los Muertos” Welding Competition scheduled Friday, Nov. 4, on the Windward Campus. They’re “fired up” and are now taking registration from Coastal Bend Dual Credit high school and college students as well as professional welders for competition categories for each group.
