Musk’s Twitter ideas raise questions

Tesla CEO Elon Musk stands to be the next owner of Twitter, having pledged roughly $44 billion to buy the social platform and take it private. Assuming that happens, next up on his agenda will be planning how to fulfill his promises to develop new Twitter features, open its algorithm to public inspection and defeat “spambots” on the service that mimic real users.

Big 12 sees new coaches, QBs

There are three new head coaches in the Big 12 and there will be a few new starting quarterbacks when the season kicks off in September. Only Oklahoma has both.

T-M blows out Alice, solidifies 2nd in 31-4A

Tuloso-Midway's formula on Friday against Alice was to score early and often, and it was the bottom of the Warrior's order that led the charge. The final three in T-M's batting order — Tony Hinojosa, Albert Puente and Hunter Swearengen — combined to go 6 of 8 at the plate and drove in five runs and scored six, leading a rout of District 31-4A rival Alice.

Alice girls track team breaks 400-meter relay record

The Alice Lady Coyotes’ 400-meter relay team of Haley Salinas, Kendall Leal, Brooke Castillo and Victoria Diaz broke a school record in the event at the area meet Thursday in Memorial Stadium. The team was second in the race with a time of 50.26 which broke an Alice High School record of 50.30 set in 1983.

One adjective often, and correctly, used for Putin’s invasion is “delusional.” Even if he manages to pound Ukraine into scorched rubble, he’ll still be further than when he began from anything resembling victory.
