Ben Bolt Fire Department units are currently responding to a report of a recreational vehicle (RV) fire on US Highway 281 south of Ben Bolt.
According to fire officials, the large vehicle was traveling northbound when the vehicle caught on fire. The RV was destroyed by the fire.
One person for minor injuries, not caused by the fire, was treated on the scene by paramedics.
Premont firefighters were first on the scene as they were extinguishing a small grass fire in the area.
The fire departments were able to control the fire.
According to officials, there is no definite cause of the fire but do not suspect any suspicious activity.
Traffic was reduced to one lane as the scene was cleared. Jim Wells County Sheriff deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assisted with traffic.
