There was a grand opening ribbon cutting on Wednesday at the new NavyArmy Communtiy Credit Union Branch located at 3801 FM 1889 just off of Northwest Blvd in Calallen. This is the sixteenth branch for the credit union, and the eighth in Nueces County.
According to Branch Manager Elva Lopez, they had a soft opening on November 2 of last year. "We have a brand new facility with an open concept that is more inviting to customers. There will also be a mortgage representative and business services here." said Lopez. The new branch has ten drive through lanes as well as four ATM's with three outside and the fourth in the lobby.
NavyArmy CCU has grown in its 60 year history to 463 employees and boasts 141,000 members and has assets valued at 2.36 billion dollars. According to CEO Sarah O'Brien, "Our growth is due to focusing on member services, and providing easy auto, home and business loans for people in our member counties." The counties served by NavyArmy CCU are Nueces, San Patricio, Jim Wells, Aransas, Bee, Kleberg, Cameron, and Hidalgo.
