On Wednesday, December 23, 2015, Our Lord called one of his angels home. Jubal Santos was born on December 21, 1956 in Robstown, Texas to Pedro and Virginia Morgan Santos. He was called home at a very young age of 59. Jubal was a hardworking man who worked in the oil field for over 41 years. He started straight out of high school working for Harkins and Co., then Diamond M. Drilling, Western Oilfield Co., Grey Wolfe and currently Precision, where he worked as the yard warehouse man supervisor. He was well known and respected in the industry. He was a generous man who gave so much of himself. Jubal knew no stranger. His loss has been heartfelt and will be greatly missed. We will miss his big smile and his great sense of humor. He enjoyed BBQ for his family and friends and picked up every stray dog he could. Jubal enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Virginia Santos; mother in law, Anselma V. Hinojosa; and a brother in law, Luther Salazar.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years and best friend, Norma H. Santos; his children, whom he loved more than life itself, Samantha Jo Santos of Brooklyn, New York and Jubie Lee Santos of Alice, Texas. Jubal being the fourth of eight siblings is survived by Lionel (Enedina) Santos of Banquete, Texas, Pete (Rosemary) Santos of Victoria, Texas, Oralia (Raul) Arredondo of San Diego, Texas, Hilda (Roel) Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, Robert Santos of Midland, Texas, Noe (Roxy) Santos of Alice, Texas and Et (Lisa) Santos of Albany, Oregon. Other survivors include sister in law, Linda Salazar, Yolanda (Javier) Garza of San Juan, Texas, Cruz (Roy) Cruz of La Porte, Texas, Melba (Rene) Rios of Alice, Texas. He will be sadly missed by his faithful companions, Pepito, Tinkerbell, Apple and Sheppie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery.
