Doris Mae Walters, 65, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully with the love of her family beside her on Thursday, December 3, 2015.

Doris was born in Alice, Texas on January 4, 1950 to Oscar E. Dozier, Jr. and Geneva Gwendolyn (Wood) Dozier. Doris married Tommy Wayne Walters in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 15, 1978. Doris attended the University of Incarnate Word and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Science in 1999. At the age of 50, she set her mind to earn a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree and enrolled into the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. She served as an attorney for over 10 years and was a member of the Texas Bar Association. Doris retired in 2014. Doris filled her final years enjoying art, music and painting.

To cherish her memory, Doris leaves behind her husband, Tommy Wayne Walters of Georgetown, Texas; daughters: Kimberley Anne Vanover Montgomery and husband Mark of George West, Texas and Joy Sunshine Vanover of Austin, Texas; grandsons: Austin Bradley Vanover and Saria Roberts of Humble, Texas and Charles Caleb Montgomery of George West, Texas; great-granddaughters: Marli Diane and Laken Grace Vanover both of Alvin, Texas; as well as her beloved dog, Maui.

A time of Visitation with a Reception will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
