At approximately 4 p.m. Alice Police Officer Cristobal Gonzalez was dispatched to an apartment complex on the 600 block of East Front Street in reference to subjects in possession of narcotics.
Gonzalez arrived and made contact with Irma Vasquez and a male subject. Vasquez denied any drugs on the premises and gave the officer consent to search the apartment.
Cpl. Juan Martinez arrived for assistance.
According to the report, Martinez found a clear bag with marijuana in plain sight.
Vasquez told the officers the marijuana was hers and she smoked it for medical reasons, report stated.
She was taken to the Jim Wells County jail and charged with possession of marijuana.
Jump to curb- go to jail
On Thursday, while on patrol Cpl. Juan Reyes observed a white GMC pickup truck jump a curb before he drove away. The officer conducted a routine traffic stop with driver Jose I. Cisneros on the 1200 block of East Main Street.
The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol from Cisneros who stated he had a couple of shots and beers, report stated.
Cisneros also had glossy eyes and slurred speech. He was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
During the vehicle inventory, the officer discovered an open bottle of liquor and a bag of marijuana inside a container.
Cisneros was confronted about the marijuana and took ownership.
He was transported to the JWC jail. Along with the DWI Cisneros was charged with possession of marijuana.
