Marie Cheryelle Lopez-Carrillo “Charlie” died peacefully in her sleep with her beloved fur baby “Bee” by her side on Saturday December 5, 2015 at her home in Pleasanton, Texas.

Marie Cheryelle was born on May 21, 1970 in Alice, Texas to Carlos Lopez and Yolanda J. Lopez. She grew up the second of four children and attended Pearsall High School. She graduated in 2000 from St. Phillips College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Surgical Technology. She was married to Eugene Carrillo on August 5, 2014 and was a loving mother to Lissa Marie Martinez and Alexander Paez “AJ”.

Cheryelle was passionate about helping other people which led her to a lengthy career in the medical field where she fulfilled her passion. She was diagnosed with Lupus in 2005 and she spent her days since that diagnosis fighting the fight with disease that ravished her body. Despite the pain she was in, she always had a smile on her face. She loved being in the water and loved spending time fishing, diving, and being near the ocean. She was a loyal friend and loved by many.

Cheryelle is survived by her husband, Eugene Carrillo; her daughter, Lissa Marie Martinez; her son, Alexander “AJ” Paez; her parents, Carlos Lopez Sr. and Yolanda J. Lopez; her brothers, Hector G. Lopez (Diane Contreras) and Carlos Lopez Jr. (Brandy); her sister, Celina A. Dugas (Peter), and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Cheryelle is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leonel and Maria Pura Lopez and maternal grandparents, Andrea Garza and Jose Jones.
