WAMS student assault teacher.

A 14-year-old William Adams Middle School student was arrested on Tuesday for assaulting a teacher.


Alice Police Officer Jose Saldivar made contact with school officials who stated a teacher had been assaulted by her student.


According to the police report, the juvenile became disruptive and use vulgar language during class.


The student continued to be disruptive after the teacher asked him several times to stop. When the teacher told the student she was calling security the student grabbed her wrist.


“(The teacher) explained the juvenile grabbed her wrist and hurt her leaving her wrist red and swollen,” Saldivar's report stated.


The student was taken to the Alice PD and contacted the Jim Wells Probation Office. According to the report, the probation officer advised that the parent refused to go to the police station.


The student was arrested and transported to the Judge Ricardo H. Garcia Regional Juvenile Detention Facility in San Diego.
