Alice Police Officers are searching for 42-year-old Mark Anthony Trevino for allegedly robbing the Wells Fargo Bank at 1128 East Main Street Saturday morning and left with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police officials.
The suspect was described as having a light complexion, a bald head, wore a solid black shirt with a red stripe down from the armpit, blue jeans and has a tear drop tattoo under his left eye, stated Alice Police Department Lt. Hector Zertuche Jr.
According to police officials, the suspect did not have a weapon.
At the time of the robbery there were several employees and three customers inside, police said.
“He calmly handed the teller a note that said this is a hold up,” Zertuche said. “The teller calmly passed the suspect the cash.”
“The man calmly walked out and no one saw which direction he went,” he stated.
Trevino left the premises on foot, police said.
“This is the beginning of a puzzle,” said Police Chief Rex Ramon.
Investigators were collecting evidence from the scene.
“We are waiting for (someone) to come in order to access the video surveillance,” Ramon stated. “The suspect did not wear a mask to cover his face. If he's a local guy we'll catch him.”
As customers exited the bank they were greeted by family members.
The investigation is ongoing.
No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.
