Community Action Corporation of South Texas (CACOST) received a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Adolescent Health to implement a teen pregnancy prevention program in Duval County.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14 CACOST will have a meeting for Duval County parents, guardians, local and school officials, and social service agencies at the San Diego High School cafeteria from 5:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m.

CACOST will implement an evidence-based program in an attempt to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections along with associated behavioral risks by providing positive youth development and abstinence education.

CACOST is in the process of reviewing Federally approved evidence based program options and would like your input.

Social service vendors are welcomed to attend.
