The First Baptist Church invites the public to their WorldCrafts Marketplace on Sunday, Oct. 4. The event starts at 12 p.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. at 501 East Second Street.
WorldCrafts is a ministry that starts fair-trade businesses in impoverished area around the world so men and women can earn an income with dignity. Artisans use available resources ethnic to their area to handcraft products that are imported to be sold in the US and online at www.WorldCrafts.org.
WorldCrafts is committed to the artisan groups, is holistic to meet the artisans' physical, emotional and spiritual needs while abiding by Fair Trade Federation guidelines.
Come read the stories of women rescued from exploitation and trafficking, widows finally given the ability to provide for their children, and men that can provide food and healthcare for their families using their centuries-old traditions.
Come browse and buy the products that allow people in the US and abroad to earn a sustainable living in a safe and caring environment. Come to a part of feeding, clothing and freeing people who are in need.
