Fiesta Del Centro will host their Hispanic Heritage Festival & Cook-Off this Friday and Saturday at the city hall block in downtown Alice.
The festival will kick off on Friday at 6 p.m. and end on Saturday at 11 p.m. The festival is put together by the Hispanic Heritage committee who have been organizing this event since 1994.
“We work hard all year long to provide this free event for the public to enjoy,” organizer Rogelio Cuellar said. “We try to bring good food and entertainment to Alice.”
The two day event includes live music, exhibits, food vendors, arts and crafts and an IBCA sanctioned BBQ cook-off.
“It's important that people come out,” Cuellar said. “We are proud of our heritage and want to showcase it because we take pride in what we do.”
Cuellar said the festival is a good opportunity to enjoy live entertainment. The two day event includes live music, exhibits, food vendors, arts and crafts and an IBCA sanctioned BBQ cook-off.
Music will include Ted Lopez y Recuerdos, Ricky Naranjo y Los Gamblers, RObert Molina Band and La Fe.
