Fresh off a doubleheader sweep just days ago, the Alice Lady Coyotes had some tough matches in Bastrop.

Playing in the first round of the Bastrop ISD Classic, the Lady Coyotes were fourth in their pool of four teams. Alice lost to Magnolia West, Liberty Hill and Blanco. After struggling in their first two outings, the Lady Coyotes played better in the third game. They fell to Blanco, 25-22 and 25-20.

25-14, 25-16, 25-19

The San Diego Lady Vaqueros continue to play good volleyball.

San Diego seemed in midseason form when they put away Robstown in three sets, 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

The Lady Vaqueros dominated from start to finish.

Alexis Perez led the team in kills with three. Kady Rios and Ciara Perez each had two. Leanna Vela had six assists and Sarah Jo Campos had four.

Perez had an ace and Rios was credited with five digs. Leandra Bazan had a block.

Falfurrias def. Ben Bolt

25-18, 25-23, 25-16

The Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Lady Badgers made a strong push against the larger Falfurrias Belles, but they still fell short Tuesday night.

Jackie Sneed led the Lady Badgers in kills with 11 and Jessica De Los Santos had two. De Los Santos also had 11 assists and five aces. Zoe Perez led the Lady Badgers in digs with 14. Stephanie Hernandez had five blocks.
