Consuelo "Connie" Campos, 82, a lifetime resident of Freer, Texas was called home suddenly on Sunday, July 5, 2015. She was born in Callahan, Texas on June 10, 1933 to Juan and Isabel Sendejo. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies' Auxillary and also very active in the community. She started her career at the Freer Hospital and was well known for her employment with Secords convenience store.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years of marriage, Alejandro Campos; her parents; a brother, Lorenzo Sendejo; and a sister, Eloisa Medellin.

Connie is survived by her two sons, Alejandro "Alex" (Laurie) Campos Jr. of McAllen, Texas; Roel Campos of Freer, Texas; four daughters, Edna C. (Ted) Gravenhorst of St. Louis, MO; Andrea C. (Dean) Bierstedt of Freer, Texas; Linda C. Graves of Bellingham, Washington; Lizette Paceley (Mark Pittman) of Freer, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Freer, Texas with a Funeral Service to be held at 5 p.m. with Brother Mike Herrington officiating. Interment will follow at the Campos Cemetery in Seven Sisters, Texas.
