The Beta Pi Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International recently welcomed five new members.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG) is a professional honor society for key women educators. With approximately 90,000 members in 17 countries, DKG offers members many opportunities such as

professional development;leadership training;scholarships and grants;networking with educators around the world;fellowship and learning through a local chapter;forums for presenting and publishing; andprofessional conferences and conventions.

Members make a difference in education worldwide through various projects, both at the international and chapter level. International projects include

Support for Early-career Educators through chapter projects in local communities;and Support for Schools for Africa through the US Fund for UNICEF.

DKG membership is an honor and is offered by invitation from a local chapter. A candidate for membership must be

employed as a professional educator at the time of her election;or retired from an educational position.

Members live by the motto “Leading Women Educators Impacting Education Worldwide”
