After 31 years of service to the residents of Duval County, Kena Soriano retired on Tuesday with her friends and coworkers by her side.
“I really wish I could've stayed longer,” Soriano said. “After all these year my age has caught up to me and it was time to retire.”
Soriano has worked with different judges and the welfare department throughout her career.
She plans to enjoy her retirement at home resting and possibly doing some traveling with her husband, Reymundo.
“I'm going to miss my talks with my clients and the people I worked with,” Soriano stated.
Soriano has two adult boys and three granddaughters who she hopes to spend more time with.
