Beloved, the scripture states in Romans 12:10 these words, "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another."

Listen, I'm fully aware that the context of this passage primarily refers to the love that's to be shone among the body of Christ, but I also believe it can be used to refer to the love that a family should show to one another. Fact is, the family was the first institution that was formed in the Bible.

Listen, part of the way that a family can show their love for one another is through spending time together. During the summer months most families are afforded vacation time and this allows them the opportunity to get out of the rut of their daily routines and spend time together, enjoying one another's company.

By the time some of you will read this article, my wife and I, our children and grandchildren will be enjoying ourselves in the Hill Country. We started this last year and were so blessed by the experience - we decided to make it a yearly event.

Beloved, I challenge each one of you, spend time regularly loving on your family. Now, you may not be able to travel with your family to some other location, but as often as you can, get together with your loved ones, make memories, show your love for them, receive love from them. If you will do this, both your life as well as theirs will be richer. Amen!

Love, Bro. Tim
