A 32-year-old Alice man was arrested by Alice Police Department and the United States Marshals Thursday afternoon in connection to an indecent that occurred in November 2014, according to police officials.

Joel Watrin was arrested at a residence on the 300 block of Easterling. He was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Watrin is the fourth man arrested for the assault on three men at a local business where one individual was struck in the face and another was hit with a vehicle, according to Lt. Jason Childers.

Through the course of the investigation, we had enough evidence that Watrin was involved in the assault, he stated.

Two of the three victims were former associates of the suspects, according to police officials.

One victim reported that he had been struck with a vehicle and another had two black eyes, was vomiting and reported he had blood coming from his ears and suffered headaches.

Clemente Lopez Jr., Carlos Martinez and Robert Chavera were arrested in December 2014 for their part in the assault, according to police officials.

They were also charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and engaging in organized criminal activity.

The case is still under investigation.
