BEEVILLE, TX (05/12/2015)-- Deyanira V. Norman, a Coastal Bend College (CBC) radiologic technology student from Alice, was inducted into Lambda Nu (LN) during the spring 2015 semester. LN is a radiologic and imaging sciences national honor society whose home chapter is at Arkansas State University.

LN's name comes from the lower case Greek characters in the formula ln. These characters represent the physics of the inverse relationship between wavelength (l) and frequency (n). LN uses the upper case Greek characters to represent the delicate balance and inverse relationship required by both the art and the science in the radiologic and imaging sciences professions.

The objectives of LN include to foster academic scholarship at the highest academic levels, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences and recognize exemplary scholarship.

Individuals wanting to become a part of LN must apply for acceptance to their local chapter, maintain a 3.0 grade point average (GPA), maintain an A-B average or equivalent academic measure after one full semester of a professional program.
