On Friday and Saturday, Freer High School students traveled to Judson High School in Converse to compete at the Texas Public Service Association State High School Law Enforcement and Firefighter competition. With sponsor, Ms. Rachel de los Santos, twenty-three students represented Freer High School in 16 events. The results are as follows:

Criminal Case Analysis 1st place Elodia Saucedo & Marco Saldana and 2nd place Bethany Alejandro & Lyndsey Alaniz; Fingerprinting 1st place Krishna Patel; Ideal Prison 1st place Mariah Navarro; Disturbance Call 1st place Ally Rusling & Michael Escobar; Inmate Processing 1st place Makayla Cantu and 3rd place Christina Bazan; Defensive Tactics 1st place Allyson Rangel, 2nd Place Greg Moreno, & 3rd Place Zach Garcia; Firefighter Search and Rescue 1st place Frankie Sanchez; TPSA Theme 1st place Lorena Salinas; First Responder 3rd place Makayla Cantu, and Brain Bowl 3rd place Elodia Saucedo, Krishna Patel, Marco Saldana, and Kennedy Perez

The team and Ms. de los Santos would like to thank Freer High School Principal, Mr. Cantu and all of the parents that went to Judson High School to support the criminal justice team. There are no fans in the world that compare to Buckaroo fans. Ms. de los Santos would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Margaret Lee, Mrs. Linda Worsham, Ms. Laura Moncada and Border Patrol Agent Mendez for all of their help with the state competition.
