Adan B. Garza, 83, passed away Sunday March 22, 2015 in an Alice hospital. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korea Conflict Era, and was also a Paratrooper for 82nd Airborne Division. He was attached to the tank Battalion, where he operated the tank & was also a cook. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Alice. Adan was a Route man for the Coca-Cola American Bottling Company and later became supervisor after 41 years of service. He was also the previous owner of Danny's Drive Inn and Golf Driving Range in Alice, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Refugio and Dolores Benavides Garza, two brothers Guadalupe and Alonzo and four sisters Juanita, Elvira, Lilly and Cora.

He is survived by his wife Librada A. "Lilly" Garza, two sons Danny (Gloria) Garza and Alberto "Albert" (Aixa) Garza, one sister Esther Pena all of Alice, Texas, five grandchildren, Eric, Danny Jr., Albert Jr., Aixa Ann and Amy, three great-grandchildren, Allissa, Liam and Troy, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 5 p.m. to 9 pm. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Alice located at 1010 Beam Station Rd, Alice, Texas. Military Services will follow with the United Veterans Association of Alice and burial will follow at Alice cemetery. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc. entrusted with arrangements.
