Feliciano Borrego Jr., 62, passed away March 15, 2015, in Alice, Texas. He was born August 2, 1952, in Mission, Texas to Feliciano Borrego Sr. and Josefa Ortiz Borrego. Feliciano previously worked as an EMT for Catalina where he met his wife, Dolores Jimenez Borrego. He currently was employed as a chef for the Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Department Jail for over 20 years and also for Four C’s restaurant in Orange Grove, Texas for four years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Feliciano Borrego Sr. and Josefa Borrego; two brothers, Juan Ortiz and Jose Ramon Borrego; and one granddaughter, Alexia Borrego.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Dolores Borrego of Orange Grove, Texas; two sons, Jose Feliciano Borrego (Stephanie Wood) of Orange Grove, Texas and Armando Borrego of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Oscar (Lydia) Borrego of Mission, Texas; four sisters, Dalia Borrego of Mission, Texas, Petra Perez of San Antonio, Texas, Carolina Borrego of Mission, Texas and Rosario (Arturo) Cano of San Antonio, Texas; one brother in law, Praxesdis (Raquel) Jimenez of Orange Grove, Texas; one sister in law, San Juanita J. (David) Gaza of Alice, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, visitation will begin at funeral home at 11 a.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 1:15 pm for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove, Texas. Burial to follow at Casa Blanca Cemetery.
