O'Reilly Auto Parts is proud to inform their customers that “Lake O'Reilly” is gone.
The store has been at 1501 East Main Street for 14 years in April with huge pot holes in the entrance of their parking lot.
“People complained all the time,” said O'Reilly's Store Manager Randy Reaux. “We lost sales because of it.”
Customers would avoid the lake after a rain shower because they were worried about their clean vehicles getting dirty.
“My intention considering Lake O'Reilly is to inform the city of Alice that the problem of holding water at our entrance is
taken care of,” stated District Manager Ramon Isassi.
O'Reilly's took it upon themselves to fix the flooding problem.
“We hired an outside contractor,” Reaux said.
Repairs cost the store approximately $13,000 and was completed in February.
