In just a day of each other two 18-wheelers rolled over on Highway 281 and Farm-to-Market Road 624 with a cargo of fruit.

On Monday, an 18-wheeler landed on its left side with a load of cantaloupes. The rainy weather and slick roads could have been a factor in the accident.

According to the Orange Grove Constable Robert Vasquez, the driver had a cut to his head, but was treated by EMS.

Sunday morning an 18-wheeler with a load of tomatoes rolled over at the same location. Tomatoes covered the highway.

The Department of Public Safety Troopers and Jim Wells County deputies were at the scene to work the accident and direct traffic.
