National Oilwell, located at 2040 North Highway 281, was burglarized of more than $100,000 worth of oilfield equipment during the night of Jan. 28 or Jan. 29.
The company and police are asking the public's help in finding the suspect or suspects.
According to police, on one of those nights, burglars took drilling tools that included elevator slips and clamps on pallets located on shelves on the night of Jan. 28 or Jan. 29. The tools are estimated at more than $100,000, police said. There was no forced entry, officials said. Because of the heavy weight of the drilling tools, which weigh more than 600 pounds each, officials said it was likely the burglars used an 18-wheeler or numerous trucks along with a fork lift to retrieve the items. A fork lift belonging to National Oilwell was left on location, officials said.
