PREMONT, Texas - In memory of our loving father, brother and cousin Albert E. Minten, we wish you an easy transition to your next life. We love you dearly and will miss you always. You were the solid rock we always went to for guidance, love and security. You were the foundation of your multi-faceted family and took care of so many others, too.

You were always fascinated with the wild blue yonder taking care of your country in the Korean War, being a cowboy in the earlier days of our state and a hunter of many wild animals. You fished from your boat for many years in the bays of Texas and Mexico with your beloved uncle Johnny. He showed you and you showed us how to be gentle and strong at the same time. You sheltered your family well providing a secure and safe harbor. You spent many wonderful hours at family reunions sharing a beer and happy memories with all of us. We will always treasure those times.

Albert is preceded in death by his former wife of 23 years Ingrid, and survived by his former second wife, Jeannine. He was also preceded in death by his brother Sam and sisters Gracie May Manuel and Frances Johnson. He is survived by his brothers Robert and Fred and sisters Virginia Redford, Genevieve Neckar and Betty Frels. He is also survived by his two sons Bert and Randy, his two grandsons Jeremy and Adrian and by his many loving cousins and extended family in South Texas.

Memorial chapel service will be held Friday November 9, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.
