CONCEPCION, Texas - Fidencio Yzaguirre Sr., 95, a lifelong resident of Concepcion, Texas, died Friday, June 1, 2007, in a Alice hospital after a long illness.

He was a rancher and farmer all his life, and was always helpful to his friends and neighbors by fixing windmills and anything else that needed to be repaired. He was a loving father, grandfather and uncle that will sadly be missed by all his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Estefana L. Yzaguirre; his parents, Ysmael and Antonia Rios Yzaguirre, all his brothers and sisters, and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his son, Fidencio (Mary) Yzaguirre Jr. of Garland, Texas; his four daughters, Irene Yzaguirre, Inglantina Y. Casas, both of Benavides, Texas, Alma Y. (Jesus M.) Garcia of Premont, Texas and Imelda Y. (Wally) Gonzalez of Alice, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas. Vigil observance of deceased with Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas with Father Andrew Hejdak as celebrant.

Burial will follow at the Benavides Cemetery in Benavides Texas.
