Jaime Garza Moreno, age 80, passed away August 11, 2022 in Alice, Texas. Jaime was born on March 4, 1942 in Rancho El Quitrin, Tamaulipas Mexico. He was a lifelong truck driver and loved the open road. He traveled parts of Central America and all of Mexico along with his beloved Texas. He married the love of his life whom he knew since childhood. They were inseparable and always loving. His children were his pride and joy, but once the grandchildren arrived he was the most loving of Popo’s!! His faithful and beloved dog Chacha was his best friend, and ride or die, they loved eating ice cream together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Garza Cantu and Sostenes Garza Moreno; one brother, Juan Angel Garza Moreno; and a granddaughter, Aydia Benavides.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Consuelo Garza of Alice; three children, Claudia Garza Saenz (Gilbert), Gabriela Garza, and Jaime Garza Jr. (Crystal Barrios) all of Alice; five grandchildren, Carolina Parker, Jaime Aiden Garza, Ava Saenz, and Camila Garza; and his beloved furbaby, Chacha.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 14, 2022 beginning at 5 pm. at Rosas Funeral Home with a rosary beginning at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, August 15, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Alice Cemetery.
