Frank M. Limon, 76 years of age, entered eternal rest on December 13, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1946, to Manuela M. Paz and Guadalupe Limon, Sr. In 1967, Frank graduated from Alice High School, that’s where he met the love of his life, Maria, whom he happily married on November 19, 1971. In 1968, he decided to enlist in the military and proudly served our country and fought in the Vietnam War as a United States Marine Corp soldier. By God’s grace, he returned home in 1969 after one tour. He became a father for the first time in 1973, welcoming his only son and again in 1981, welcoming his only daughter. Over his 76 years, he worked in the oilfield, he was a medical warehouse supervisor, an insurance agent and ultimately retiring from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in June of 2006 as a correctional officer. After retirement he spent his time serving his parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice. He became a member of the Prison Ministries, Crusillistas, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree Knight. Frank was a huge fan of boxing and a proud Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan, enjoying watching fights and games with his family. He was also a music aficionado, listening to everything from Vicente Fernandez and Bob Dylan to Santana and Johnny Cash. His family and friends will forever cherish his memories and advise and pray for his eternal rest.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe Limon Sr. and Manuela M. Paz; one sister, Maria Dolores Cervantes; two brothers, Antony Limon Sr. and Luis Paz Jr.; one niece, Arlene Limon; and two nephews, David Cervantes and Cameron Espinosa. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years of marriage, Maria S. Limon; one son, Candelario (Lydia) Limon. of Alice; and one daughter, Teresa (Ben) Vasquez of Alice, Texas; his grandchildren, Jeremy and Nicole I. Vasquez, Sadie (David Jr.) Salinas, Ryan Garza, Dyllon Garza, great-granddaughter, Enslee Rae Salinas; and his siblings, Elida (Abel)Aguirre, Fabian (Marisela) Limon, Dominga (Rene) Alaniz, Lucia (Rene Morales) Limon, Josephine (Michael) Limon-Espinosa, Jesse Limon, Melissa Mireles, and Jennifer Mireles.

Family will receive friends and relatives at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Rosas Funeral. Home with a Holy Rosary being recited at 1:30P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, December 19, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Roberson Collins Cemetery with military honors by Alice United Veterans Burial Association.

Serving as pallbearers will be Manuel Buentello, Joe Escobar, Jacob Garcia, Emede Gonzalez, Ronnie Mashburn, Gilbert Perez Jr. Jorge Zamora Sr., and Jorge Zamora Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Vasquez, and Juan Hinojosa.
