With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Rufel ‘Bubba’ Serna, III, age 58, of Freer, Texas. Bubba passed away on October 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Marivel Alaniz, and two children, Kevin (Marissa) Serna and Tessa Serna.

Bubba was born on December 11, 1963, to Rufel Serna, Jr. and Tommie Ann Serna, with sisters Sylvia (Barry) Serna and Selina (Martin) Serna. He attended Freer High School and lived in Freer most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and he made everyone who knew him laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories he shared.

Services will be held at Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 9:30 AM. Graveside Services will follow at Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas. All those who loved him are welcome.
