Alice, Texas – Amparo “Amy” Chavarria, age 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Amparo was born December 18, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Juanita Aguirre and Francisco Garcia. Amy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with all of her family. She loved to make everyone’s day special, especially during the holiday times. Amy always complained about cooking, but loved it anyways. A special memory to her children is when she would sing “Your are my sunshine” to them. Amy worked for Hans Brothers Industries for over 15 years and considered Rodney and Scott Hans as part of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Jose Miguel Chavarria Sr., her mother-in-law Juanita Chavarria, and her brother-in-law Juan Pablo Chavarria.
