Petra R. “Patsy” Lopez, age 89, passed away May 6, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by all her family. She was born February 26, 1933 in Realitos, Texas to Abel Ramirez Sr. and Rumalda Saenz Ramirez. She was a life member of the VFW Lady Auxiliary #8621, the American Legion #186 and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching her novelas and taking her daily car rides. She enjoyed gathering and going on yearly vacations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel Ramirez Sr. and Rumalda Saenz Ramirez; husband, Leonides C. Lopez; daughters, Anna Belle Lopez and Lydia Martinez; son, Ruben Lopez Sr.; sisters, Anna Maria Peña and Susana “Sue” Olvera (Luis); brother, Abel Ramirez Jr. (Eva); grandson, Robert “Robbie” Lopez; great-granddaughter, Makayla Guerra; two sons-in-law, Mario C. Garcia Jr. and Thomas Martinez

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Lopez (Elodia) of Mesquite and Leonides Lopez of Alice; daughters, Nelda Lopez, Diana Guerra (Joe), Sylvia Anguiano (Hector), Mary Lou Garcia, Laura Buentello (Manuel) and Nora Salinas (Ray) all of Alice; brother, Jose Roberto Ramirez (Maria Elva) of Mission; sister, Frances Mallett (the late Ricardo) of Palito Blanco; sisters-in-law, Lupita Lopez and Dolores Lopez both of Alice; 26 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Lopez, Hector Anguiano Jr., Adrian Garcia, Thomas Martinez II, Michael Govea, Ruben Lopez Jr., Christopher Lopez, and Jason Sanchez.
