The Alice Coyote football program kicked off the season with one of its most cherished traditions—the annual “Decals with Heroes” event, held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, in the Alice High School gym.

During the special evening, parents and guardians of varsity football players joined their athletes in applying decals to the players’ helmets. For senior #12 Joseph Gaza and his teammates, it was more than just preparing their gear for the season—it was a moment that honored the strong connection between families, players, and the football program.

The event underscored the values that define Alice football: teamwork, pride, and community spirit. It has become a meaningful way to celebrate the start of each new season, bringing families onto the same stage as their athletes while reinforcing the bond that drives the Coyotes forward.

With the decals proudly in place, the Coyotes now turn their focus to the field, carrying with them the support of their loved ones and the tradition that makes Alice football so special.
