Acts of kindness have a lasting ripple effect, and thanks to Jim Wells County Commissioner George Aguilar and his dedicated team at Precinct 1, that ripple has reached families in need throughout the San Diego area.

Commissioner Aguilar and his crew made a generous and impactful donation — a much-needed refrigerator to the San Diego Food Pantry and Centro de Provecho. This vital equipment will allow the pantry to safely store fresh food and perishable items, giving local families better access to healthy meals and consistent nourishment.

The donation was more than just a gift of equipment — it was a show of support. Volunteers, community members, and Aguilar’s team all came together to lend a hand, reinforcing the strong ties that make Jim Wells County such a close-knit community.

Commissioner Aguilar expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support the pantry’s mission, emphasizing that serving the people of his precinct — especially through meaningful outreach — is a top priority.

From fresh produce to full plates, the impact of this donation will be felt daily in homes throughout the area.

This is community service at its finest — one act of generosity at a time.
