The Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office hosted an Operation Lone Star Task Force in Jim Wells County on February 25th through February 27th.

The Task Force was a joint operation between multiple Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments. The U.S. Marshals, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Ranger Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Aircraft Division, and Regional Special Operations Group also assisted with the operation.

The operation resulted with 40 arrests for various criminal offenses and individuals who had outstanding warrants for their arrest. A total of 5.14 grams of methamphetamine, 6.19 grams of cocaine, 10.4 grams of various pills, 21.19 grams of THC, 354 grams of THC wax, 1.4 ounces of synthetic marijuana, and 2.43 ounces of marijuana.
