It was a big weekend for the Alice High School Coyote Marching Band, as they took part in a Double Header Saturday at both Calallen’s Bay Area Marching Contest and Robstown’s Crossroads Marching Contest on October 11, 2025.
Under a typically sunny South Texas fall sky — with a few puffy clouds and plenty of humidity — the Coyote Band put on two outstanding performances that showcased their focus, discipline, and signature Alice pride.
At Calallen, the band earned 4th Place in the 5A Division, impressing judges with their precision and musicality. Later that day in Robstown, the Coyotes continued to dominate, earning Runner-Up in Color Guard, 1st Place Drum Major, and 1st Place overall in the 5A Division.
Band directors and students alike celebrated the results, proud of the effort and long hours put into perfecting their show. Each performance reflected the hard work and passion of every musician and marcher involved.
Now, all eyes turn to the next big challenge — UIL Contest Week. The Coyote Band will perform at the UIL Marching Contest in Gregory-Portland on Saturday, October 18, 2025, as they look to carry their momentum and make their community proud once again.
The Coyote Band continues to represent Alice High School with excellence, dedication, and that unmistakable spirit that makes them one of South Texas’ most respected marching programs.
