It was a beautiful evening of fellowship, food, and fun on Friday, June 20, as the Concepcion Senior Citizens, fondly known as the “Seniors on the GO,” hosted the grand opening of the brand-new “Patio De Las Familias Del Rancho” outside the Concepcion Civic Center.

The event was a joyous celebration of community and togetherness, made possible by the support of Duval County and funding from Valley Telephone Cooperative. The newly constructed patio is a well-deserved and greatly appreciated addition for the residents of Concepcion to enjoy for gatherings, events, and relaxing moments outdoors.

While the evening kicked off with a refreshing rain shower, the weather didn’t dampen spirits—in fact, it added a touch of charm and relief from the summer heat. As the skies cleared, laughter, music, and the aroma of delicious food filled the air.

Attendees were treated to generous servings of great food, uplifting live music, and the chance to win door prizes, all while enjoying blessed fellowship among neighbors and friends. The sense of pride in their community and gratitude for the new space was felt by all.

The “Patio De Las Familias Del Rancho” now stands as a symbol of unity and resilience, built not just with bricks and funds—but with love and community spirit.

A very good time was had by everyone involved, and to the “Seniors on the GO,” they lead the way with energy, vision, and heart!
