As part of its ongoing commitment to student health and athletic readiness, San Diego ISD has announced a free physical clinic for student-athletes on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The clinic is designed to ensure all eligible students are prepared to safely participate in sports for the upcoming school year.
Per district policy, sports physicals are mandatory for all students entering the 7th, 9th, and 11th grades. Students in 8th, 10th, and 12th grades may also require a physical if deemed necessary based on previous evaluations or medical history.
The free clinic will help remove financial barriers and streamline the eligibility process, making it easier for families to meet UIL and district requirements without additional cost. According to reports, SDISD wants to make sure every student who wants to participate in athletics has the opportunity to do so safely and without added burden to families.
This clinic supports the district’s goal of prioritizing student well-being while encouraging athletic participation.
The district encourages all families with student-athletes to take advantage of this opportunity. Additional details and forms are available on the SDISD website at https://edl.io/n2074864.
Parents and students should arrive early and bring any necessary paperwork. Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration may help expedite the process.
