The Premont Animal Control Facility continues its mission to keep the community safe and care for animals in need. On April 15, 2025, several dogs were picked up running at large in different areas of town.

Animal control officers responded promptly to reports and secured the following animals:
- Dog ID D-08, D-09, D-10
Picked up at the corner of Agnes and Main Street
April 15, 2025 - Puppy ID P-11
Picked up at the 300 block of N.E. 3rd Street
April 15, 2025 - Dog ID D-12
Picked up at the 200 block of S.W. 4th Street
April 15, 2025
All animals are currently in the care of Premont Animal Control and awaiting reunification with their owners or potential adoption into loving homes.
If you believe one of these dogs may be yours, or you are interested in adopting a new furry friend, please contact Premont City Hall at 361-348-2022, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Premont officials remind residents to secure pets properly and ensure they are wearing identification tags or are microchipped to aid in quick returns.
