With their playoff hopes on the line, the Alice Coyotes came up big Tuesday night, delivering a gritty 3–1 victory over district rival Flour Bluff at the Alice Coyote Baseball Complex. The win bumps the Coyotes to 8–5 in district play and 13–12 overall, vaulting them into fourth place with just three crucial games remaining in the regular season.
Nick Lopez was electric on the mound, tossing a gem and keeping the Hornets off balance all night long. But it wasn’t just pitching that sealed the deal—Alice came through in the clutch at the plate as well. Ale Asevedo and Robert Ramirez each delivered key two-out RBIs in a pressure-packed moment, proving that the Coyotes know how to grind when it matters most.

Next up: a pivotal road matchup Thursday night, April 17, as the Coyotes head to Gregory-Portland. The Wildcats sit just ahead in the standings at 10–4 in district play and 14–12 overall, setting the stage for a potential shakeup in the playoff race.
With momentum on their side and confidence building, the Coyotes know what’s at stake—and they’re ready for the fight.
