The Alice High School (AHS) Unified Sports track and field team have advanced to the area track meet in Kingsville at 10 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 31 after punching their ticket to the next round with an impressive performance in Kingsville Wednesday, Mar. 26.

This milestone is a testament to the hard work, determination, and unwavering spirit of the athletes who, despite facing challenges, continue to prove that the strength of teamwork and inclusion can lead to greatness.

At AHS the track team is proving that athletics isn’t just about competition—it’s about community, inclusion, and celebrating every athlete’s unique talents.

The Unified Track team is made up of students with and without intellectual disabilities, all training and competing together in the spirit of inclusion and mutual support. For these athletes, every race, every relay, and every personal best is more than just a win—it’s a triumph for unity and friendship.

Unified Track is a part of the Special Olympics movement, designed to bring athletes of all abilities together to participate in sports alongside one another. At AHS the team’s athletes are just as committed to supporting each other as they are to their own performances.
