For years local residents have voiced concerns over the conditions of certain roads in San Diego which have suffered wear and tear. From cracked pavement to potholes the issues have been a persistent problem for drivers and pedestrians alike.

In a move that promises to reshape local infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for residents, the collaborative commitment between the City of San Diego and Jim Wells County Pct 1 is primarily addressing the aging roads and improving transportation safety.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Commissioner Jorge Aguilar and Commissioner Wicho Gonzalez for their efforts in working with the City of San Diego on our street improvement project. Commissioner Pete Guerra and Commissioner Chaico Vera have also been actively involved in the improvements to our street project. Further streets are scheduled to be done in the coming months. We kindly request your understanding and patience as we execute this project on a street-by-street basis. Thank you, Aleida Lopez-Luera for managing the initiatives implemented by the council and myself,” said San Diego Mayor Sally Lichtenberger in a social media statement.

This project aims to address concerns and provide smoother, safer roads for everyone. Ventura St. was one of the areas selected for improvements.
